KLUANG: A 26-year-old female biker has been killed after crashing into a car at KM59.5 Jalan Yong Peng-Kluang here.

       Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said the incident occurred at 8.30am on Wednesday (March 20) when the victim, who works as a factory operator, was heading towards Paloh from Kluang.

       He said the victim crashed into a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old woman at the Jalan Kampung Baru towards Kluang intersection.

       "The victim, identified as Siti Najihah Abdul Rani, suffered a serious head injury and was pronounced dead at the location," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

       The vehicle driver tested negative for drugs and is currently under remand.

       Meanwhile, in another case, ACP Bahrin said that a 66-year-old woman was killed after her motorcycle crashed at Jalan Delima 1, Taman Delima here.

       "The incident occurred at 10.15am on Wednesday when the victim, identified as Halimah Suib, suddenly fell off her motorcycle near the road intersection.

       "There were no visible injuries and the body was taken to the Kluang Hospital for a post-mortem examination," he added.

       Both cases are being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act of 1987.
