KUALA LUMPUR: Hwa Tai Industries Bhd has received the green light from the Health Ministry to reopen one of its factories in Batu Pahat, Johor, which had been temporarily shuttered to curb the spread of Covid-19 at the premise.

       The group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that the suspension of operations at the factory will not have any material impact on its financial position.

       “The safety and well-being of employees of the group have always been Hwa Tai’s utmost priority and we never compromise on product quality.

       “Hwa Tai will continue to adhere strictly to Covid-19 preventive standard operating procedures at all our offices, factories and workers’ accommodation,” it said.
