Emergency services swarmed into the street by Top Nails in Brislington, Bristol, where officials can be seen wearing hazmat suits. An air ambulance also landed nearby with its crew deployed at the scene. It is unclear why the precautions have been taken at this stage but South Western Ambulance Service has said that a man had "breathing problems".
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We were called at 10.54am today to a report of a man with breathing problems at an address on Sandy Park Road in Bristol. Multiple resources were allocated, including the air ambulance. One man was conveyed to Bristol Royal Infirmary.”
A firearms team was also been spotted on the scene, reports Bristol Live.
Roads were closed in the area to help police deal with the emergency.
Bath Road and Wick Road became particularly busy as a result, with southbound traffic backed up towards Arnos Vale.
