KUALA LUMPUR: Carzo Holdings Bhd topped the gainers’ list on Bursa Malaysia in early trade Thursday.

       The wholesaler, distributor and importer of fruits jumped 26.09%, or 54 sen to RM2.61 at 9.33am. It has risen 168% since its listing on Sept 9 on the LEAP Market of Bursa Malaysia.

       A check on previous filings by the company indicated no recent corporate developments that might have contributed to the sudden interest in the counter.

       In the first half to June 30, Carzo posted a net profit of RM958,000, up 18.12% from RM811,000 a year ago.

       Its revenue for the period jumped 179% to RM42.85mil from RM15.35mil a year before.
