ALOR GAJAH: A 25-year-old man was killed in a collision along KM215.51 of the North-South Expressway (southbound) on Tuesday (Feb 8).

       Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Arshad Abu identified the victim as Nor Azli Abdul Fattah, 25, while the victim’s 33-year-old brother sustained serious injuries in the 5.30am accident.

       He said the victim is believed to have lost control of his car which skidded and hit a road divider.

       “An oncoming lorry rammed into the car as it was unable to brake in time,” he said on Tuesday (Dec 8).

       He said the 54-year-old lorry driver and his 49-year-old assistant were unhurt.

       Supt Arshad said the victim, who tested positive for Covid-19, and his family were travelling from Bandar Sunway in Selangor to Batu Pahat, Johor.

       “Two other passengers in the rear of the car escaped unhurt,” he said.

       Supt Arshad added that Alor Gajah Hospital was still waiting for Covid-19 test results of the victim's family members.
