During an interview with the BBC at Balmoral the Prince of Wales, 72, spoke about his passion for the environment and expressed his sympathies for climate activists. While speaking from the Scottish estate, Charles revealed he named the garden after his eldest grandchild Prince George.

       The interview was conducted from Prince George's Wood where Charles built an arboretum and planted trees the year Prince George was born.

       “This was a rather empty field of the farm didn't need it,” the future monarch stated.

       “The great thing was I managed to plant it the same year that my grandson and eldest was born, so I named it Prince George's wood.”

       Prince George is Charles' eldest grandchild and the royal has expressed his concern for the young royals' futures amid the climate crisis.

       The royal has spent the majority of his life speaking about environmental issues and has come forward in defense of the young climate activist Greta Thunberg and other environmental activists.

       The Prince stated he shares their concern when it comes to world leaders' lack of action.

       “They just talk,” Charles told BBC on Monday.

       “And the problem is to get action on the ground.”

       “So I totally understand the frustration, the difficulty is how do you direct that frustration in a way that is more constructive rather than destructive.

       “The point is that people should really notice how despairing so many young people are.”

       Charles is set to appear at the COP26 summit next month in Glasgow and will be joined by the Queen and his eldest son, Prince William.

       The royal has said the Glasgow COP26 summit, which runs from October 31 to November 12, is a “last chance saloon”.

       Without action “it will be a disaster”, he warned.

       “It will be catastrophic. It is already beginning to be catastrophic,” Charles stated.
