One teenager is dead and another injured in separate shootings Sunday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
A 19-year-old man was shot in his left side and left arm Sunday at about 2:07 p.m. in the Lower West Side neighborhood. Police said he was shot by an unknown gunman while standing on the sidewalk in the 2300 block of South Oakley Avenue.

He was transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, where he later died, authorities said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Antonio Alvarado.

At about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, a 17-year-old boy was walking on the sidewalk in the 7100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood when he said he heard shots and felt pain, police said. He walked into Rush Oak Park Hospital for treatment with a gunshot wound to his left hand and was reported to be in good condition.
No suspects are in custody in either of the shootings, and police said they are investigating.
