A man was charged with murder Saturday in connection with the death of a man in Takoma Park, Md., the city’s police said.
Abraham Douglas, 21, of Silver Spring, Md., was charged in the killing of Ahmadou Bamba Gueye, 23, of Takoma Park. Gueye was found about 5:45 p.m. in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, said Takoma Park police spokeswoman Cathy Plevy.

Police arrived after shots were reported and found the victim with a gunshot wound, she said.
He died at a hospital, Plevy said.
Douglas was found Friday night after burglarizing a home in the 600 block of Kennebec Avenue in Takoma Park, police said, and officers recovered a gun and 50-round drum magazine. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. After he was treated and released he was charged with murder, burglary, firearms violations and other charges, according to police.
Douglas is being held on a no-bond status, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
