A man was shot and killed in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue in the early hours of Sunday, police said.

       Police went to the shooting scene, at the border of Chillum, Takoma Park and the District, around 2:30 a.m. and found an unresponsive man in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

       He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. They did not provide further details about the victim or the circumstances of the shooting.
