JOHOR BARU: A man was killed when his Perodua Kancil crashed into a Proton Wira at a traffic light junction near Plaza Pelangi shopping mall here.
Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the man, who was in his 50s, was driving from the city when he lost control of his car and crashed into a road barrier at about 9.10am on Wednesday (June 1).
He said the impact then caused the Kancil to crash into a Wira which was stopping at a traffic light junction.
ACP Raub said the man died at the scene from severe injuries while the Wira driver suffered minor injuries.
The accident was the second incident at the location in a space of seven months.
In October last year, a Perodua Myvi driver, who was driving under the influence of drugs, caused the death of a 31-year-old man in a three-car pile up.
The driver failed to stop for the red light.
