KUALA LUMPUR: Police here have detained the two men who allegedly drove their vehicles in a reckless way along Jalan Kuching.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the incident occurred at about 3.30pm on Friday (Oct 22).
"They were driving dangerously along Jalan Kuching heading to the city centre. We managed to track down the drivers and detained them at about 10pm on Saturday (Oct 23) after recording their statements," he said when contacted on Sunday (Oct 24).
He added that the men are aged 47 and 33 and would be charged under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving recklessly, he added.
"One of the drivers tested positive for methamphetamine. He will also be charged for a drug offence," he said.
