PETALING JAYA: The police have started an investigation into a fight between two men on Jalan Gasing on Monday (May 30).

       Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the case has been classified under Section 160 of the Penal Code for fighting.

       "It carries a jail term of up to six months or a fine or both upon conviction," he said in a statement Wednesday (June 1).

       He reminded the public to be tolerant with each other to avoid any fights that could have legal ramifications.

       It was reported on Tuesday (May 31) that both men have lodged respective police reports on the incident.

       The fight occurred after a misunderstanding between the two men after one of them started scolding and slapping the other.

       ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said police had also detected a viral video of the fight.

       "The video showed a man shouting at another man before a scuffle ensued," he said.
