KUALA LUMPUR: Eleven drivers were arrested after being caught for drink driving during road operations here.
City Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said that the operation, which began on Nov 19 and ended on Sunday (Nov 21), saw road blocks on Jalan Loke Yew, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Bangsar and Jalan Tun Razak.
“The 11 suspects have been brought to the Kuala Lumpur traffic police station and will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
“In total the police issued 164 summons for various road infractions, and nine vehicles were seized for illegal modifications,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
