The biggest snowstorm of the season ended in California's Sierra Nevada mountains overnight, but more snow is on the way for the Northwest.
The snow has topped 10 feet in some of the Sierra's higher elevations.
Some ski areas northwest of Lake Tahoe recorded more than 100 inches of snow over the last four days.
Part of the difficulty crews are facing during this storm is blowers breaking down due to the severe conditions. We have been down to 2 of 10 blowers at our central hub in Kingvale and 6 out of 20 from Auburn to the Nevada state line. 80 remains CLOSED with no ETO. @CHP_Truckee pic.twitter.com/EeFWx77xns

The new storm is hitting Northern California, Oregon and Washington with heavy mountain snow on Monday.
Snow totals could reach 1 to 2 feet through Thursday in the southern portions of the Cascade Mountains in Northern California and southern Oregon.
The biggest snow totals from this new storm will be well north of where the blizzard struck the last few days, but stretches of Interstate 80 around Donner Summit that were just hit hard by the snowstorm could see another 6 inches of new snow this week.
The lower elevations and town centers like Truckee and Lake Tahoe will likely only receive a light coating of 1 to 2 inches.
