Sadiq Khan grilled on knife crime in London
Sadiq Khan has found himself ducking for cover from one of his most fearsome critics yet. Far from another Tory attack, rock legend Noel Gallagher hit out at the London mayor in a furious rant. Mr Gallagher held nothing back, when blasting Mr Khan during a podcast discussion.
Responding to the city's dire knife crime epidemic, the Wonderwall singer described Mr Khan as a "little weasel-faced c*** of a Mayor who runs this town". He added for good measure: "I f****** hate him".
The furious blindside came after a discussion about schoolboy Harry Pitman, who was tragically murdered on Primrose Hill this New Year’s Eve.

The 56-year-old rocker said: "You know that kid who got stabbed on Primrose Hill on New Year's Eve? I heard that on the radio and one of the reporters was saying knife crime has gone down all over the country except London.
"So what do you have to say about that, you little weasel-faced c***? How does he keep getting voted in? God, I f****** hate him. You know he asked me for a picture once, the little c***? I told him to go f*** himself."

The unpopular mayor wasn’t the only person subjected to Mr Gallagher’s no-holds-barred views, as he turned fire on constantly-striking rail staff and the Government.
He described travelling up and down between Manchester and London on the train as a "f****** nightmare".
"And they're always on strike because they're not f****** getting paid enough. How are they not being run by the f****** government?"
The furious condemnation of Sadiq Khan came despite Mr Gallagher previously describing Labour as “my team… and even if you don't like a striker you don't give up supporting the whole team”.
After a 1997 visit to No. 10 while Tony Blair was in power, he revealed: "Our parents always drummed into us that the Labour Party was for the people and the Tory Party was not. I went to meet the Labour prime minister".

His comments, made on the Matt Morgan Patreon podcast, sparked a response from the Mayor’s office, who insisted knife crime is falling.

They added: “It's clear that violent crime remains far too high and there's much more to do”.
“The Mayor is determined to continue making progress by supporting the police to bear down on crime at the same time as being tough on the complex causes of crime – poverty, inequality and a lack of opportunities for young Londoners - which have all been made much worse by years of government cuts.”
Mr Khan’s Conservative opponent, Susan Hall, has warned London has become a safe haven for criminals under the current mayor.
