THE classic bingo call “two fat ladies” is offensive and should be scrapped, say one in four people.
A poll found that 24 per cent think the phrase — used when the number 88 is picked — is now outdated.

Younger people objected the most with 37 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds — Generation Z — wanting it replaced.
That compared with 24 per cent of Millennials aged 25 to 39 and 19 per cent of Generation X, those aged 40 to 55.
Sixteen per cent of Baby Boomers, aged 56 to 74, also called for it to go.
Women found the phrase less acceptable, with 24 per cent objecting compared with 18 per cent of men.

Of those who described their gender as “other”, 38 per cent said the phrase was outdated.
Londoners were most likely to complain, followed by people in Cardiff.
Betting site Paddy Power Games asked 2,000 adults if they found the phrase acceptable or not.
A spokesman said: “Gen Zers feel quite strongly the phrase is past its sell-by date but that opinion is shared to a lesser extent across the generations and geographically.
