MELAKA: A 66-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a crowded tom yam restaurant on Jalan Hang Li Poh here.
Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said the incident at 7.15pm on Thursday (May 5) left six people injured including two children.
He said the crash appeared to be accidental but police were still investigating what had caused the man to abruptly accelerate his vehicle.
"The injured people were sent to Melaka Hospital for treatment and all of them only sustained minor injuries.
“Those injured patrons were from Johor and Penang," he said on Friday (May 6).
ACP Christopher Patit said the driver of the car also escaped unscathed in the incident.
