KUALA LUMPUR: Samaiden Group Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary Samiaden Sdn Bhd has agreed to undertake the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works in the development of 15MWac large-scale solar photvoltaic power plant in Kamunting in Larut and Matang, Perak.
In a bourse filing, it said the project, awarded by Green RE Sdn Bhd, is one of the facilities approved by the Energy Commission in March 2021 pursuant to the large scale solar Mentari programme.
The contract, which is valued at RM56.64mil, will commence on March 15, 2022, and is expected to be completed by Oct 31, 2023.
"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of the Samaiden group of companies for the duration of the Contract," it said.
At 12.30pm, shares in Samaiden were unchanged from their reference price at RM1.04 apiece with 48,800 units exchanging hands.
