A STALL operator in Ipoh’s Little India is fed up with the lack of safety in the area after her premises was broken into 15 times in the last 10 years, reported Malaysia Nanban.
S. Shalini, whose shop is located in the central area of the popular shopping spot, said the break-ins often occurred days after she stocked up on supplies, and she suffered losses in the thousands.
She claimed the area was supposedly monitored by the Ipoh City Council, but the perpetrators had never been identified nor caught.
Frustrated, she said the City Council which collects the rentals had failed to help keep the area safe.
Shalini urged the authorities to act quickly, saying she was fearful of keeping any stuff in the shop.
