KOTA TINGGI: A 38-year-old cleaner was killed after she was run over by a factory bus at Jalan Mangga, Taman Kota Jaya, here.

       Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said the victim, identified as Rosayu Ramli, was on her motorcycle when she stopped at an intersection at about 6.20am on Thursday (Sept 2).

       He said the victim was hit from behind by a bus making a left turn at the same intersection.

       "The victim had serious injuries to her head and body and was pronounced dead at the location," he said in a statement.

       Supt Hussin also said that the bus was driven by a 74-year-old man who was unharmed.

       He added that the investigation was ongoing under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
