PETALING JAYA:Water supply to several areas will be affected following the shutdown of the Ampang Water Treatment Plant to facilitate upgrading works which began at 9am Tuesday (Feb 22).
The affected areas are Kampung Tasik Permai, Kampung Indah Permai, Kampung Ampang Campuran, Taman Tasik Tambahan, Kampung Tasik Tambahan, Taman Sri Raya, Sri Taman Baru, Taman Sri Bayu, Taman Fairuza Ampang, Taman Permai Jaya, Taman Bukit Ampang, Taman Halaman, Taman Kesuma, Taman Dagang Permai, Taman Sri Watan, Taman Sri Ampang, Kampung Lembah Jaya Utara, Kampung Pinggir Tiga, Kampung Lembah Jaya Selatan, Taman Sri Intan, Desa Lembah Permai, Kampung Dato Mufti, Taman Industri Lembah Jaya, Taman Dagang Jaya, Kampung Bukit Sungai Putih, Taman Mulia Jaya, Taman Ampang Saujana & Ampang Waterfront.
In a statement released by Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor), it said the water supply will resume by 10pm Wednesday (Feb 23).
“The affected areas listed will be facing some water disruption or low water pressure during interruption.
“Water supply will resume back to normal once the work is completed and it will gradually recover for those affected areas.
“Affected customers are advised to store sufficient water during the interruption.
“Please be assured that necessary actions are being taken to expedite the works,” it said in a statement.
