A TEEN boy and a man have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a nurse was killed in a horror house blaze.

Mariama Kamara, 46, died in the South London home and now her death is being treated as suspicious - with two males, aged 47 and 17, arrested by cops.

Cops were called to the two-storey home on Railton Road, Lambeth, just after 4am on Monday.

The woman, 46, was found unresponsive as the 25 firefighters tackled the blaze - and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

And police then arrested the two males on suspicion of murder on Wednesday evening. They remain in custody.

It took almost an hour to get the fire under control - and London Fire Brigade previously said the cause would be probed.

Earlier this week, devastated family members gathered at the cordon as forensics officers investigated the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood, leading the investigation, said: "This is a tragic incident and my thoughts are with the woman's family and friends as they come to terms with their loss.

"A dedicated team of investigators are working to establish the circumstances leading up to the fire and I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Monday and may have seen or heard anything suspicious.

"I recognise the impact this will have on the community and I would like to reassure the public that our enquiries so far have found nothing to suggest there is any wider risk."
