An AI-powered, 24/7 self-service police station in a huge Middle Eastern country is all set to revolutionise maritime security with 24/7 automated services. Dubai Police is working towards launching the world’s first floating police station that will work without human intervention.

The station will offer 27 core services and 33 additional services across six languages, including filing criminal and traffic reports, retrieving lost items, and processing certificates and permits.
The initiative was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
According to the officials, the SPS will cater to yacht and boat owners, tourists, and water sports enthusiasts, ensuring easy access to police services while at sea.

It is designed to ensure faster, easier access to police services, aligning with the broader vision of making Dubai the “World’s Smartest and Happiest City.”
Around 27 primary services including the filing of criminal and traffic reports, along with 33 additional services, such as returning lost items and handling requests for certificates and permits will be provided by the SPS.
The station is designed to function 24/7 so that the public has round-the-clock access to critical services.
Dubai Police spokesperson Faisal Al Tamimi confirmed that the floating SPS will be ready by the end of 2026 and will offer world-class advanced services at sea.

The Dubai Police Department announced that these "smart" police stations are being developed to provide fully automated, high-quality services to local communities while also serving as global models for similar systems.
Furthermore, police stations in high-traffic areas, such as airports and train stations, will integrate cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
