JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has offered his condolences to the family of Datuk Dr Tan Kai Chah, a renowned liver transplant surgeon who treated his late son.

       In a Facebook post, His Majesty said the late Dr Tan headed the team of Singapore doctors who looked after and treated Tunku Laksamana Johor Tunku Abdul Jalil.

       "It is a strange coincidence that he passed away today (Dec 5), on the same day that Jalil left us.

       "May Dr K.C. Tan rest in peace," the Sultan said on his official page.

       Tunku Abdul Jalil passed away from liver cancer at the royal ward of Hospital Sultanah Aminah here on Dec 5, 2015. He was 25.
