PETALING JAYA: A woman was severely injured while three other passengers sustained minor injuries when their vehicle hit a road barrier near Setia Alam on Saturday (May 28).

       Sinar Harian reported that Selangor Fire and Rescue Department chief Norazam Khamis said the department received a distress call at 11.15am regarding the accident, with six firemen from Kota Anggerik station then deployed to the scene.

       "The Perodua Bezza, which was driven by a 24-year-old woman, had crashed into the divider which caused the victim, a 27-year-old, to be thrown out of the car.

       "Four people were in the car when the accident occurred with the driver and two other passengers only sustaining minor injuries and managed to exit the vehicle on their own.

       "The victim who was thrown out of the car was, however, semi-conscious when the team arrived," he said in a statement.

       He added that all victims received early treatment at the scene by a medical team from the Health Ministry before being sent to the Tengku Rahimah Klang Hospital.
