PETALING JAYA: Several issues close to the residents of Langkawi island were brought forward to the attention of MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The Transport Minister shared in a Facebook post that he had noted all the suggestions.
"I see no problem in carrying out things that are for the betterment and in the interest of the people in Langkawi.
"A few months ago, several Umno Langkawi division leaders came to my office to discuss issues on ferry services and the dredging of ferry jetties.
"Today (May 30), I have taken their feedback for further action," he said in his Facebook post Monday.
Dr Wee had met with Langkawi Barisan Nasional division leaders including Langkawi Umno chief Datuk Nawawi Ahmad; Langkawi MCA chairman Datuk Chen Liau Weng, Langkawi MIC chief Nagaiah Vellu and Langkawi Umno deputy chief Nor Saidi Nanyan in Putrajaya earlier Monday evening.
