A pedestrian has died nearly a month after he was hit by a vehicle in Prince George’s County.

       The incident happened Jan. 23 in the 1800 block of University Boulevard in Langley Park when the man was hit by a vehicle while walking in a parking lot. The driver stayed on the scene and was not hurt.

       Police said the man was taken to a hospital, where he died Feb. 4. He was later identified as Julio Ayala, 50, of Silver Spring.

       The incident remains under investigation, police said.
