KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, who is due for mandatory retirement early next month, will continue to hold the position for two more years following an extension of his service.

       Acryl Sani's new tenure under contract will be from Oct 4, 2021, to Oct 3, 2023.

       He turns 60 on Oct 3.

       The appointment letter was handed over to the IGP by Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin at a ceremony in Bukit Aman here on Wednesday (Sept 29).
