Clare Roughley, 39, knew the funeral wasn't paid for, when she delivered the tribute to Theresa Leyland.
She inherited £6,000 in her nan's will. But she helped herself to more. Roughley also targeted her parents and a woman she cared for, stealing £325,000 over a six-year period. She used the cash to fund a gambling habit.
The former bank worker from St Helens, Merseyside, obtained the money by setting up online banking access to accounts.
Peter Hussey, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court that Roughley took advantage of her parents' "financial naivety".
