PASSENGERS on a Tara Air flight in Nepal had to help push the plane off the runway after a tyre burst on landing, Makkal Osai reported.
The small aircraft had landed safely at a domestic airport before one of its tyres burst.
There was no towing facility to get the plane off the runway as it is a small airport.
The situation became urgent when another incoming flight was unable to land as the runway was blocked.
While the incoming plane circled overhead, passengers from the stranded aircraft joined airport officials to help push the plane off the runway.
Videos of the incident quickly went viral online with many local folk commenting that only in Nepal would a plane need a push when in other countries, people would only push cars off the road.
The airline later sent another flight with spare parts and technicians to replace the tyre.
Both planes left the airport safely.
