An Aurora man was killed and another person injured Saturday when the motorcycle they were riding went out of control after going over some railroad tracks in Naperville, police said.
Jaelen Morain, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, a Naperville police report said. The second rider was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Police did not disclose which person was driving the motorcycle. The crash occurred about 5:45 p.m. Saturday on eastbound Hafenrichter Road, near the intersection of 91st Street and Normantown Road on the city’s southwest side, police said.
Traffic crash reconstruction officers closed the intersection for about five hours, and were able to determine the cycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the incident occurred and that both people were thrown off the bike, police said.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 630-305-5477.
