Sir Keir Starmer denied that Nigel Farage was "living rent free" in his head after launching a major attack on the Reform UK leader. The Prime Minister used a speech at a glass factory in the North West to hit out at the Clacton MP.
He claimed Mr Farage would do the same as ex-Tory PM Liz Truss, who sparked an economic meltdown with her mini-budget, and insisted he wanted to "protect" working people from Reform. But Sir Keir was pressed on the amount of time he was spending thinking about the arch-Brexiteer.

He replied: "I've set out my divide. I think the single most important thing is to make sure we stabilise our economy and build on that strong foundation the future of our country and that is what we're doing.
"We're seeing the early signs of that, growth is up, the highest in the G7 this year, interest rates have come down four times. So we're beginning to show what happens when you stabilise the economy.

In his speech, Sir Keir said Mr Farage's plans to spend "billions upon billions upon billions, tens of billions of pounds, in an unfunded way" was an "exact repeat of what Liz Truss did".
It comes after Reform earlier this week pledged to give back the winter fuel allowance to all pensioners and axe the two-child benefit cap in a move to appeal to traditional working class Labour voters.
The PM said of Mr Farage: "Can you trust him? Can you trust him with your future? Can you trust him with your jobs? Can you trust him with your mortgages, your pensions, your bills? And he gave the answer on Tuesday. A resounding no."
