HONG Kong actress Jessica Kan Shuk Yi revealed that she once had an eerie encounter while filming a movie at an abandoned house in Malaysia, reports China Press.

The 32-year-old recounted the incident at the house that served as the setting for her 2017 movie Ghost Net.

“When we first entered the house, Carlos Chan (her co-star) and I had a very uncomfortable feeling,” she said.

Kan dismissed it and continued filming but the unearthly feeling persisted throughout her shoot there.

She recalled seeing a rocking chair move backwards and forwards by itself, but other members of the filming crew attributed it to the wind.

“Thinking about the incident gives me goosebumps,” she said.

After filming had concluded at the house, Kan said the director then told them that someone had committed suicide in one of the rooms they filmed in some time ago.

According to Kan, other members of the filming crew later revealed that they were terrified throughout the shoot and believed that they were being watched by an unseen entity living in the house.

Ghost Net was directed by Kwok Fai Wong, Kwok-Keung Wong and Tat-Chi Yau and is an anthology composed of three short ghost stories.

       >As four more members of Japanese idol group AKB48 have tested positive for Covid-19, its concerts and events have been put on hold until further notice, reports Sin Chew Daily.

The latest four were Hinana Shimoguchi, 20, Manaka Taguchi, 17, Kana Yasuda, 19, and Ayu Yamabe, 19.

This brings the total count to 19 from the group who have contracted the virus, according to a statement released on its official website.

Members who had close contact with those who tested positive have been asked to self isolate.

AKB48 is an idol group formed in 2005 and is named after the Akihabara area in Tokyo, which is where the group’s theatre is located.

It is among the highest-earning musical acts in Japan and is the fifth best-selling girl group worldwide.
