KUWAIT CITY, Feb 16: The Civil Service Commission Tuesday has issued Circular No. (4) of 2022 regarding the decision of the Council of Ministers to return to the regular seven-hour working system in all government institutions, from Sunday, March 13, which means return to work to pre-Covid era, reports Al-Rai daily. The CSC said on its Twitter account that, according to the circular, meetings, conferences and internal courses will be reconvened from Sunday, Feb 20, and all government institutions will have to abide by the decision of the Council of Ministers.

The CSC added the new circular cancels the CSC Circular No. (2) regarding reducing workforce in government institutions, working on a flexible systems mode, curtailed working hours, and holding meetings, conferences and courses remotely. The CSC clarified all cases of exemption from work are also cancelled, and the employee’s absence from work is only within the limits of the legally authorized leaves, in addition to canceling the flexible working systems and the rotation system and returning to work 100 percent and full working hours.

The circular also calls for return of the fingerprint system and attendance in person for meetings, conferences and internal courses. Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, sent a letter of thanks to the ministry’s employees, in which he said, “By the grace of God and with your efforts, we achieved the best results, which led to an improvement in the epidemiological situation, and thus easing the precautionary measures, reports Al-Jarida daily.”
