A woman died Saturday after Chicago police said she leapt from a walkway at O’Hare International Airport.

       The unidentified woman fell from the exterior walkway outside of Terminal 5 around 1:30 p.m., according to police. It was unclear exactly how far the woman fell.

       The woman was taken to Ascension Resurrection hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office didn’t immediately respond for comment.

       Police were conducting a simple death investigation pending the woman’s autopsy scheduled for Sunday.
