IPOH: Four more students have been detained by the police, bringing the total to 10, to facilitate investigation into the bullying incident at a boarding school in Kuala Kangsar.
The four students, aged 13 and 15, were arrested on Saturday (Dec 11), after six were detained earlier on Friday (Dec 10).
Perak police chief Comm Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said all the students would be released on police bail after investigations have been completed.
An investigation was launched after a video of a boy being punched by his peers went viral on social media.
A Twitter user had uploaded a series of tweets showing at least eight male students involved in the incident.
Comm Mior Faridalathrash said six of the students that were detained earlier were expected to be released on police bail later today.
"The other four will be released on Sunday (Dec 12), once investigations have been completed," he said.
