IPOH: A concert with many people in the audience at the Sultan Azlan Shah Roundabout in Bandar Meru Raya here is being investigated, says Datuk Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid.
The Perak police chief said a video of the concert was posted on TikTok on Sunday (March 6).
“We have received a report on the matter. The organiser and visitors failed to observe physical distancing and there were also people who did not wear face masks,” Comm Mior Faridalathrash said in a statement Sunday.
“It is being investigated under Section 22(B) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act and Section 269 of the Penal Code,” he added.
In the 28-second video, a massive crowd is seen dancing during the concert, believed to be on Saturday (March 5).
Comm Mior Faridalathrash said the organiser of the concert did not have approval from the state National Security Council and police to hold the event.
“We are looking for @acik_kesepian and other individuals involved in the incident to help with our investigation.
“Members of the public who have information of the incident can contact senior investigating officer Asst Supt Fadli Ahmad at 019-250 0019,” he added.
