Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the operation, conducted from Friday (Oct 1) until Sunday (Oct 3), involved four senior officers and 90 officers at various locations including Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Raja Laut.

"We issued 343 summonses for various offences and seized 11 motorcycles due to illegal modifications. We focused on areas with public complaints," he said when contacted on Sunday.

Five motorcycle riders were detained for performing stunts and racing at Jalan Kuching on Sunday, he added.

"Those detained were aged between 16 and 21.
