SARIKEI: Early results for the Bawang Assan state seat are expected to be ready by noon, says returning officer Suhaili Mohamed.

       When met by reporters at SJK(C) Kai Nang here on Saturday (Dec 18) morning, Suhaili said there were a total of 19,160 registered voters in Bawang Assan which has 25 polling centres comprising 53 polling streams.

       "We expect early results to start rolling in around noon, or later," he told reporters.

       Bawang Assan is seeing a five-cornered fight involving Parti Sarawak Bersatu president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s Robert Lau Hui Yew, Parti Bumi Kenyalang's Michelle Ling Shyan, DAP’s Amy Lau and Independent Ricky Enteri.
