A DAD whose daughter was murdered after a night out has said he wants the man she was last seen with to face justice.

Farouk Abdulhak fled the UK after Martine Magnussen, 23, was killed in London 14 years ago.

Now her dad, Petter, has said he wants answers and urged Abdulhak to “hand yourself in and face justice”.

Petter was speaking after British cops said they had arrested and bailed a woman in her 60s on suspicion of assisting Abdulhak.

Following Martine’s death, Abdulhak left Britain on a jet owned by his late father, a drinks tycoon who was one of Yemen’s richest men.

Abdulhak has spent more than a decade in the country.

Petter, from Oslo, Norway, told The Mirror: “All I’ve ever wanted from Abdulhak is for him to return voluntarily to the UK to tell the police what happened to Martine that night.

“He could do that and later become a free man, rather than staying a fugitive in Yemen where he will never have his freedom.

“That is the very simple demand I have. Go back to the UK, talk to the police, tell them what happened.

“I don’t mind even if he had a prison transfer and served his sentence in Egypt, where he has citizenship.

“If that can lower the barrier to his return so we get closure, where he serves his sentence is not important to me.

“All I want is for him to set foot on British soil again. If you’re harbouring him, hand him over. We’ve tried to make contact with the suspect’s mother. It is part of any parental role to tell your children what is right and wrong. The fact they are a wealthy family doesn’t make them beyond the law.”

Martine had been out celebrating after coming top of her class at Regent's Business School, London, on March 14, 2008, when she vanished.

Two days later, her body was discovered partially buried underneath rubble in a basement on Great Portland Street in central London.

Chilling CCTV footage showed Martine walking to her death with the fugitive Playboy, who is son of billionaire Shaher Abdulhak, after leaving Maddox nightclub.

The pair both studied international business relations together at the private Regent's Business School.

Martine was raped and then strangled to death - with her Christian Dior earrings, snakeskin shoes, jeans and her Guess watch missing.

Cops found a trail of blood from Martine’s body to Abdulhak’s flat, where there were signs of a struggle.

       VERDICT OF 'UNLAWFUL KILLING'

An inquest at Westminster Coroner's Court in 2010 recorded a verdict of unlawful killing.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Eastwood, leading the investigation, said earlier this month: “Martine’s family has never given up their fight for justice and in the 14 years since her death they have campaigned tirelessly to keep her in the public consciousness.

“Martine’s family has been informed of this latest development. Though it represents a positive step, there is still much more work for us to do."

       'WANTED MAN'

He added: "Most importantly, Farouk Abdulhak should be aware that this matter has not, and will not, go away. My team and I will continue to seek justice and use all opportunities available to pursue him and bring him back to the UK. His status as a wanted man will remain and we will not cease in our efforts to get justice for Martine’s family.

"I'm appealing to Farouk Abdulhak directly. Come back to the UK. Come back to face justice.

"Since Martine’s death, her family has shown true determination, together with my investigation team as we want to provide some closure for Martine’s family."

In 2016, Petter released a heartbreaking tribute to his daughter as he revealed an "enormous hole" in his life.

He added: "What makes the pain so much more difficult to accept is that we are being denied justice as Farouk Abdulhak fled to Yemen after the murder and refuses to return to the UK.

"What we can do and will do is continue to keep the spotlight on this case and cherish the memory of our beloved daughter."
