TOKYO -- Japanese comedian Kentaro Kobayashi has been dismissed from his position as show director of the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony, a source close to the organizing committee said on July 22, a day before the show.
The move came after the 48-year-old came under fire on social media over a clip circulating online in which he used the Holocaust to make a joke.
