KUALA LUMPUR: Around RM100,000 in illegal alcohol has been seized following a police raid in Jalan Sentul Pasar here.

       Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai said in a statement on Monday (Nov 1) that the raid, on Oct 28, was conducted following suspicion of untaxed alcohol being sold within the Sentul area.

       "Four people, aged between 24 and 27, were arrested then.

       "Investigations showed that the group was operating under the guise of an alcohol supplier and it is believed to have been active for around a year.

       "During the raid, police seized 2,720 bottles of alcohol. All suspects were remanded for three days, starting Oct 29," he said.
