Study on to raise passenger level

       KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: Director of Operations at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Mansour Al-Hashemi revealed that the directorate, in coordination with the Council of Ministers, is studying the possibility of increasing the operational capacity of Kuwait International Airport to more than 10,000 passengers per day after evaluating the current health situation, reports Al-Jarida daily. In a statement to the daily, Al-Hashemi revealed that the past days witnessed increasing the capacity at the airport to 10,000 passengers; and then re-evaluating it according to the current health situation and the regulations specified by the Council of Ministers. He cited the resumption of flights to two of the banned countries, after the Cabinet decided to resume commercial flights with six banned countries. He added the DGCA rescheduled the flights after obtaining approval; such that eight flights from Egypt and five flights from India arrived at the airport recently.
