KHARTOUM -- Sudan's army chief Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan on Thursday said the army would not sign any peace agreement that does not include the withdrawal of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from public facilities and citizens' homes.
Al-Burhan, also the chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereign Council, made the remarks when addressing officers and soldiers in eastern Sudan's Red Sea State, the sovereign council said in a statement. (Sudan-Burhan-Peace Deal)

AMMAN -- King Abdullah II of Jordan on Thursday urged the global community to push for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and protection of civilians during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in the Jordanian city of Aqaba.

DAMASCUS -- A 44-tanker convoy carrying oil taken from Syrian fields departed Syria's northeastern al-Hasakah province for U.S. bases in neighboring Iraq on Thursday, state news agency SANA reported.
According to local sources cited by SANA, the convoy exited the Yarubiya countryside on the Iraqi-Syrian border through the unauthorized Mahmoudiya crossing. (Syrian-U.S.-Oil Stealing)
