KUALA LUMPUR: Comm Datuk Hazani Ghazali (pic) has been appointed as the new Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director, as part of a major reshuffle in the police force involving more than 60 senior officers.

       The current Sabah Police Commissioner will take over from Comm Datuk Zainal Abidin Kassim.

       Current Bukit Aman Management department deputy director Deputy Comm Datuk Idris Abdullah will take over from Comm Hazani as Sabah Police Commissioner and be promoted to the rank of commissioner.

       DCP Datuk Mat Kasim Karim has been appointed the new Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director with the rank of commissioner. He will be taking over from commissioner Datuk Azisman Alias.

       Senior Asst Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa has been appointed as the new Bukit Aman CID deputy director (investigations/legal) and promoted to the rank of DCP while SAC Ruslan Khalid has been appointed as the Inspector-General of Police secretariat police secretary, with the rank of DCP.

       Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Zainal Abdullah has been appointed as Bukit Aman CID’s Prosecution and Legal division (D5) principal assistant director with the rank of SAC. ACP Noor Dellhan Yahaya will take over as Dang Wangi OCPD.

       North Klang OCPD ACP Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh has been appointed as Sarawak Crime Prevention and Community Safety department chief with the rank of SAC. At the same time, Supt S. Vijaya Rao will take over as North Klang OCPD.

       Bukit Aman CID Legal Division (D5) assistant director ACP S. Shanmugamoorthy has been appointed as Bukit Aman Management Department principal assistant director (Human Resource Policy/Career Development) and promoted to the rank of SAC.

       Melaka CID chief ACP Mohd Sukri Kaman has been appointed as Bukit Aman Management department principal assistant director with the rank of SAC. ACP Azlan Abu will take over as Melaka CID chief.

       IGP secretariat corporate communications Supt Skandaguru Anandan said the latest round of transfers involved 64 senior police officers.

       “It will take effect on Sept 6,” he said in a statement yesterday.
