PETALING JAYA: Renowned singer and composer Datuk M Nasir has tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently undergoing self-quarantine at his residence together with his wife.
The unfortunate event was confirmed by his wife, Datin Marlia Musa, after both of them went for their PCR test this morning and the result showed that Nasir had tested positive.
According to Marlia, Nasir had tested himself using a rapid test kit on Sunday (Dec 12) morning and the test returned positive.
“We went straight to the clinic after and the result was the same,” she said.
In the meantime, both of them are at home and are going through the quarantine process.
Marlia said her husband was in good condition and resting.
“Alhamdulillah, his condition is good and he is resting, let's pray for Datuk to recover soon and thank you everyone who has prayed for us,” Marlia added.
Nasir's last performance was during the 31st Malaysia Film Festival (FFM) on Friday (Dec 10).
