KUALA LUMPUR: The electricity supply to a total of 706 areas in Pahang, Negri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor was restored as of 11am on Saturday (Dec 25), says Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)
It said that out of the 706 areas, 396 areas in Pahang, 25 areas in Negeri Sembilan and 118 areas in Kuala Lumpur saw their power supply restored on Saturday, while the electricity supply to 167 areas in Selangor was restored as of midnight on Friday (Dec 24).
If floodwaters have receded in your area but there is no electricity supply yet, this is because the power substation that supplies electricity to your premises is still not completely safe to activate," said TNB in a post on its official Facebook page on Saturday.
It said 105 areas in Pahang and two areas each in Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur, as well as 127 areas in Selangor have yet to receive their electricity supply as it had been cut for the safety of consumers.
"Efforts are being made to ensure that electricity supply in the affected areas can be restored in stages depending on access and local conditions," it said.
