Posh people had previously considered it vulgar, preferring “loo” or “lavatory”.

According to the magazine, you can no longer be snobbish about Harry and Meghan
But magazine Tatler has now ruled it an acceptable term at which the upper crust should no longer turn up one’s nose.
Others include being green, football, Crocs, cappuccinos after midday, Love Island, supermarket flowers and Pizza Express.
Tatler says this is because there is a difference between being a snob and being intolerant.
Being green is no longer a subject for snobbery as “sustainability is now de rigueur”.
HARRY IS A NO GO
However, it is fine to be snobbish about Mykonos, Negroni cocktails, fake grass and designer dog breeds such as cockapoos — as they are common or vulgar.
Dating on Tinder and Hinge, being asked to take off your shoes in someone’s house and buying books on -Amazon are also fair game.

Some items have long been considered naff — such as Prosecco, bad brown shoes on men and displaying Christmas cards from The Royal Family.
It is also okay to be a snob about anyone who uses the word “yourself” instead of “you” — as in “And how about yourself?”.
Tatler says: “We can finally curl our lips at the very idea of Mykonos (so vulgar) and cockapoos (just as bad).
“We’ll always heap obloquy on men who wear bad brown shoes — even Prince Harry, about whom it is now otherwise forbidden to be snobbish. He is, after all, living his truth.”
Tatler published the guidance after it said snobbery took a break during Covid — when being a snob was deemed trivial.
