BATU PAHAT: A 17-year-old teenager has been killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a trailer on Jalan Muar-Yong Peng here.

       Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah said the accident occurred at 5.30pm on Friday (Nov 10) when the victim was going to Batu Pahat from Yong Peng.

       "The victim, identified as Muhammad Danial Ikmal Dinee, lost control of his motorcycle and veered into the opposite lane.

       "His motorcycle collided with an oncoming lorry driven by a 36-year-old man," he said in a statement on Saturday (Nov 11).

       ACP Ismail added that the victim suffered serious injuries to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

       The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
