Former state sec is new Johor finance officer

       JOHOR BARU: Former Johor state secretary (Development) Datuk Mohammed Ridha Abd Kadir has been sworn in as the state's new finance officer.

       In a statement posted on Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page, it was announced that Mohammed Ridha replaced Datuk Salehuddin Hassan, who retired after serving in the position since 2021.

       Mohammed Ridha, 53, began serving in the state public sector as assistant land administrator of the Johor Baru Land Office in 1995.

       He has also served as Johor Land and Mines Office director and district officer in Johor Baru and Kota Tinggi.

       Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim witnessed the presentation of credentials and pledge of allegiance ceremony at Balai Menghadap in Istana Bukit Serene on Tuesday (Jan 9).

       Tunku Ismail was present as Sultan Ibrahim's official representative.

       Also in attendance were Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Johor Council of Royal Court president Datuk Dr Rahim Ramli and state secretary Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani.

       A ceremony was also held to hand over certificates of appointment to the Johor Public Service Commission (SPAJ) chairman and members, who then took the pledge of allegiance

       Datuk Marsan Kassim was appointed SPAJ chairman, with Datuk A. Rahim Nin, Datuk Md Rofiki A. Shamsudin, Datuk Mohd Noh Ibrahim and Salehuddin as members.
